Holland Club Banner
One of the traditions of Rotary clubs is to commission their own banners. Our current banner was designed in the early 1990's, when a team of Holland Rotarians, headed by member Mary Supp, sought to modernize the existing banner design. The team enlisted the commercial art program at the area vocational technical center to design a new club banner. Various student designs were submitted for review by the club team, and a new banner design was selected.

The design incorporates a tulip spray, prominent in the original banner, and adds a stylized sailboat, both reflecting the elements for which the Holland area is nationally known. A $100 savings bond was presented at a club meeting to the student designer of the new banner. 

Banner Displays
Another tradition in Rotary is the exchanging of Club Banners when a Rotarian visits another club. We've collected over three hundred club banners from visiting Rotarians and have them prominently displayed at our club meetings on a series of frames. Two frames contain the banners from 140 international clubs, representing forty-four countries. Two more frames show over one hundred banners from various clubs in the United States. Additionally, the Holland Club has produced a set of frames that display the banners of District 6290 clubs, our home district. This display is frequently used at district gatherings and at the annual District Conference.
