History Writer Steve VanderVeen

Steve VanderVeen has a varied career. He spent 32 years in academia, teaching marketing, leadership, and entrepreneurship at Calvin University, Trinity Christian College, and Hope College. At Hope College he directed the Center for Faithful Leadership and developed CFL Consulting, Hope Entrepreneurship Initiative, and the Leadership Minor; he also advised the Baker Scholars.
 
Steve also works with the Boys and Girls Club, Upward Bound, and Escape Ministries students offering entrepreneurial leadership opportunities. Recently he began coaching a group of adults with special needs, assisting them in the development of a coffee shop and redeemable bottle and can collection business.
 
Steve writes a weekly column for the Holland Sentinel tracing the history of local entrepreneurs in our community. He will be talking about the history of Holland businesses.
 

May 5 Hybrid Meeting - In Person at Macatawa Bay Yacht Club and On-line

We are continuing to meet in person as well as on Zoom.  If you did not sign up for lunch at last week's meeting, you should have received an email from Catherine with details on how to register for in-person meals. You will need to bring $15 in cash or a check to pay for lunch.
