Dear Rotary Club of Holland,
I just need to thank you again for everything. Thank you for making a Brazilian young girl's dreams come true. There are not enough worlds to describe how grateful I am for this opportunity. You helped me to grow as a person, see the world with a different perspective, make connections, and to realize how powerful Rotary can be.
I want to give a special thank you to Ed & Carol, that took me to so many places and were always willing to hear about my stories and trips. To Janet that would help me with my anxiety and would tell me the meaning of her weird jokes. To Sandy for teaching me how to use art as a way to escape from the hard days. To Emily for the support during the conferences and for listening to me about things no one else would understand. And last but definitely not least, to Catherine for teaching me so much and for always being someone I could count on.
I also need to appreciate the people that were with me during one of the best experiences of my life. Kathy, Elizabeth, John, and Marj: Thank you so much for taking me to this crazy trip with you [to Africa]. I will have all of you forever in my heart and everything we went through together.
Rotary Club of Holland, thank you for welcoming me in your community so well. My Thursdays won't be the same without going to the meetings, eating such good food, and winning money from the raffle draw. And of course learning so many different things. I want you to know that you made me a better person and I promise to pass on all my learnings to make my community a better place.
