John Stewart is from the east side of MI, and will talk about the Personal and Religious Life of Abraham Lincoln. He will talk about the largest Lincoln collection in MI in the Plymouth Historical Museum
Kate Fornorato was unanimously elected as President-Elect. Board members are still needed to serve starting next Rotary year (July).
Catherine Ristola Bass reported on the Central States Exchange Student Conference in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario. The outbound students got to meet other students from their future host country. There was curling, training, and lots of fun.
Kay Hubbard worked with the club on identifying action items from our visioning session. On April 9th, we will volunteer packing meals at the Kids Food Basket. It was also the consensus of the group that we will move to only 2 lunches a month. The other weeks will be spent volunteering or with social time, including families.
The Cookoff fundraiser is on February 21 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Midtown Center. Presented by Holland Rotary Charities in partnership with three local Rotary Clubs. Please join us as we celebrate cultures, support the community, and savor global tastes, provided by local, minority-owned restaurants. The restaurants include: Taste of Asia, UpLeaf Cafe, Rock āNā Thai Street Eats and Boba, Nadine's Fish Tips Wings, Caribbean Sunrise, and Margarita's. The event will feature cultural dancers, music, a Silent Auction, children's activities, and more!
All proceeds support Rotary Youth Exchange, Leaders of the 21st Century, Heart Safe Holland, Interact clubs, and other Rotary projects.
