John Shea, a Rotarian whose life was saved by his friend knowing hand-only compression, will be with us. Lisa Cardillo, chair of training for HeartSafe Holland, will also be presenting.
They will discuss HeartSafe’s progress, the use of the PulsePoint app, and Rotary’s role in the program. And will also demonstrate Hands-only compressions on mannequins and an AED trainer.
We built on the feedback we got from Rotary in the visioning session held at Macatawa Bay Yacht Club on November 22, 2025.
We expect to continue to share this information and find direction as we make our collective Rotary experience more rewarding and effective. We have come a long way, and we expect to continue to change as we learn better ways to meet the Four Way Test and get synergy from all our members and partners!

The Cookoff fundraiser is on February 21. Presented by Holland Rotary Charities in partnership with three local Rotary Clubs. Please join us as we celebrate cultures, support the community, and savor global tastes, provided by local, minority-owned restaurants. The restaurants include: Taste of Asia, UpLeaf Cafe, Rock ‘N’ Thai Street Eats and Boba, Nadine's Fish Tips Wings, Caribbean Sunrise, and Margarita's. The event will feature cultural dancers, music, a Silent Auction, children's activities, and more!
All proceeds support Rotary Youth Exchange, Leaders of the 21st Century, Heart Safe Holland, Interact clubs, and other Rotary projects.
